Role Overview

Reporting to the Branch/Regional Manager, the Paralegal will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service to prospective and active clients. This includes conducting consultations in-person, by phone, and by email; managing client files and appointments; ensuring confidentiality of information; and corresponding with courts, agents, clients, and colleagues. The role also involves reviewing and drafting legal documents, conducting research, and handling administrative responsibilities such as reconciling daily sales, verifying invoices, and maintaining company records.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding service to prospective and current clients

  • Conduct in-person, phone, and email consultations

  • Schedule and manage client files and appointments

  • Ensure confidentiality of corporate and client information

  • Correspond with courts, agents, clients, and colleagues professionally

  • Draft and review legal documents

  • Handle general correspondence (telephone, email, fax)

  • Request and review court documentation and disclosures

  • Conduct legal research

  • Manage reconciliation, daily deposits, and verification of invoices

  • Follow corporate policies and procedures

  • Assist with clerical duties such as data entry, archiving, and maintaining records

Qualifications & Skills

  • P1 Paralegal License (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience (required)

  • Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

  • Court experience (preferred)

  • Strong understanding of POA/HTA and Criminal Code of Canada (preferred)

  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
