U.S. Warehousing and Distribution Strategist

This will focus on designing an optimized U.S. warehousing and distribution network that improves delivery performance while reducing overall logistics and landed costs. The consultant will lead a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis comparing third-party logistics providers with Client owned warehouse operations across the United States. This will include a detailed property search and financial evaluation for establishing a Client owned distribution site, with particular focus on New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. In parallel, the consultant will design and implement a 3PL warehousing strategy at major U.S. port locations to support inbound freight and regional fulfillment.

A key element of this project will be the establishment of strategic freight relationships, including both LTL and full truckload haulers capable of moving product cost-effectively from owned and third-party warehouses. The consultant will also work with technology and e-commerce stakeholders to design a freight pricing logic and calculator for Clients U.S. website, incorporating item dimensions, weight, and delivery location to ensure accurate, scalable pricing. Inventory strategy will be developed based on geographic demand patterns and sales forecasts, ensuring appropriate stock positioning across the network.

In addition, the consultant will set up U.S. import operations, including customs clearance partners, devanning providers, and receiving partners. Working closely with Clients engineering teams, the consultant will also support product and packaging redesign initiatives aimed at maximizing container utilization and reducing international and domestic transportation costs.
